- >> The name of the Indian President's official residence is "Rashtrapati Bhavan". It houses the world-famous Mughal Gardens.

- >> The President has winter retreat in Bolaram, Hyderabad, and summer retreat in Simla.
Article 60: Oath of Office
- >> The President is sworn in by the S.C. (Supreme Court) Chief Justice. In the Chief Justice's absence, the senior-most judge administers the oath.
- * When the Vice-President assumes the duties of the temporary President, they also must take the oath in the presence of the S.C. Chief Justice.
Article 61: Impeachment
- >> The President can be removed from office through impeachment for treason or violation of the Constitution. This resolution must be approved by the Parliament.
- > The method of removing the President from office is adopted from the USA.
- >> This resolution can be introduced in either Rajya Sabha or Lok Sabha.
- >> To introduce this resolution in either house, a notice with the signatures of 1/4th of the members of that house must be given to the presiding officer 14 days in advance.
- >> If the house where the resolution is introduced approves it with a 2/3rd majority, the resolution is sent to the second house.
- >> The second house investigates the impeachment resolution either as a whole house or through a committee appointed by the house.
- >> During the investigation, the President may defend themselves either in person or through a representative.
- >> If the second house also approves the resolution with a 2/3rd majority, the President 'shall... from that day' lose office.
- * 2/3rd majority means 2/3rd of the members present and voting in the house, vacancies are not considered.
- * Members nominated by the President can also participate in the impeachment resolution voting.
- * If the house where the resolution is introduced rejects it, the resolution cannot be introduced in the second house.
