> 31st Amendment - Fixed the maximum number of Lok Sabha members at 550+2.

    - 530 members are elected from the states.
    - While 20 members were supposed to be elected from Union Territories, currently only 13 are being elected.

>> After the reorganization of constituencies, currently, in terms of area, the largest constituencies in the country are:
    1. Ladakh (Jammu & Kashmir)
    2. Barmer (Rajasthan)

>> Smallest constituencies: South Mumbai, Mumbai North Central

>> Largest constituencies in terms of voters:
    1. Unnao (Uttar Pradesh)
    2. Malkajgiri (Andhra Pradesh)

    Smallest constituencies: Lakshadweep and
    Diu & Daman

> States with the highest number of constituencies in India:
    1. Uttar Pradesh - 80
    2. Maharashtra - 48
    3. Andhra Pradesh - 42
    4. West Bengal - 42
