> 4. Even if any emergency situation is declared in the country, if the Lok Sabha is dissolved at that time, the Rajya Sabha must necessarily approve the President's proclamation.

>> The resolution to remove the Vice-President from office must be first introduced only in the Rajya Sabha.

> In the context of electing Rajya Sabha members, the Proportional Representation system also includes the following aspects:

    (a) Voting based on priority
    (b) Multi-member constituency
    (c) Quota system
    (d) Single Transferable Vote system

* To determine the 'Quota', the number of members to be elected from a state is divided by the number of MLAs in that state.

    Example: In AP, the number of members to be elected is '6', while the quota value is '49'.
    Reason: Total MLAs are 294.
